Nice interiors, forgettable food. This was in Nikkei, a quaint restaurant along Rada Street in Makati offering Japanese-Peruvian menu. I ordered quite a lot, trying out recommendations from reviews I’ve read. Everything tasted bland. Combination of ingredients is not coherent. Only thing I enjoyed is the risotto as a side of one of the main courses. After this experience, it is more evident that I am not a fan of Japanese fusion dishes (except for some of Kai’s offerings).
